Educational Assessments and Reports
Currently, my caseload involves the writing of expert reports in connection with appeals to the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal and the Welsh equivalent of this body. I have a special interest in Part IV Appeals, which include the evaluation of educational placement.
Work of this nature involves me with children who have a wide variety of developmental and educational difficulties and I am frequently asked to assess individuals with:
-
- Asperger's Syndrome and autistic spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Dyspraxia dyslexia/dyscalculia (specific learning difficulties)
- Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
- Profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD)
- Social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD)
- Oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) and conduct disorder
- Children with physical disabilities
I also have experience of assessing children who have less familiar syndromes such as Angelman's, Prader Willi and chromosomal abnormalities which give rise to learning and/or physical disabilities.
I am happy to see these children in their own environment, or alternatively, they may travel to me in Bristol. I regularly provide advice to the Tribunal in 'Education Otherwise' cases concerned with Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Son Rise.
Please contact me in confidence to discuss how I can help your child.
